State owned telco BSNL has launched a new website to showcase its value added services.
Speaking to Telecom Yatra, NK Yadav, principal general manager, VAS, BSNL, said, “The website on VAS was launched in August end and its aim is to educate the customers, our team, customer care executives and other stakeholders, about the value added service offerings of BSNL.”
He said the website, www.vas.bsnl.co.in, is not interactive. “With this website, we are first focusing on our team and franchisee chain as it will give all details of BSNL VAS to users,” Yadav added.
BSNL earlier said that it is banking on Broadband and VAS to bail it out of losses. Last year, the company earned revenue of over Rs 2,000 crore from mobile VAS, which constitutes about 20 per cent of the total.
The telco is hoping to earn over Rs 3,000 crore revenue from VAS during this financial year. Of this, 3G services should contribute over Rs 200 crore.
