The German automobile manufacturer, BMW has on Monday has listed a new special edition of the 3-Series sedan for the Indian market. At a price tag of Rs 41.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 47.30 lakh (ex-showroom) the “Shadow Edition” will be available in 330i M Sport (Petrol) and 320d Sport (Diesel) respectively.
Comparing the Shadow Edition with the standard variant, the BMW’s signature eight slates kidney grille gets a new high-gloss black finish, shadow effect on the headlamp and the tail light, the car key gets a new M trim and new sets of 18-inch light alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the sedan gets a new 10.5-inch all-digital instrument cluster, and an 8.7-inch infotainment display with the capabilities of the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other than this the Shadow Edition gets a Sport carved leather steering wheel, 205W 9-stereo speakers, parking Sensors with the rear camera and a variable sports steering system which is limited to the 330i petrol variant.
As far as specifications are concerned, the variants share it machine form the standard trims. The 330i M Sport, petrol motor is powered a 2.0-litre, the four-cylinder engine generates 252 hp of maximum power, with the peak torque of 350 Nm.
On the other hand, 320d Sport’s 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine chunks the power of 190 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. BMW claims the former to accelerate 0-100 kph in 5.8sec, while the later will do it in 7.2sec. Further, the cars are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
