US-based BLU, which entered the Indian market last year, has launched a new phone under Energy series in the US market. The new BLU Energy XL is priced at $299.99 (approximately Rs 20,267). The handset is available for purchase from Amazon US. The highlight of Energy XL is its huge battery which is 5,000 mAh. The Energy XL is available in Solid Gold and White-Silver colour variants
BLU Energy XL smartphone features a 6-inch full HD display with resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz and 3 GB RAM. For Graphics it has a ARM Mali-T720. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system which is upgradable to Marshmallow before year end. It features a fingerprint sensor as well.
BLU Energy XL comes with an 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with 64 GB in-built storage which can be expanded by another 64GB through a micro SD card. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery that claims to provide 3 days of standard usage. The phone measures 160.9 x 81.2 x 8.4mm and weighs 208 grams. It comes with 4G with VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, GPRS/EDGE and USB Type C connectivity options.
