US smartphone manufacturer, Blu revealed two affordable smartphones, named as Vivo 5 and Vivo XL, at the CES in Las Vegas, USA. Vivo 5 is priced at $199 (Rs 13,260 approximately) while Vivo XL has a price tag of $149 (Rs 9,930 approximately). Both the phones feature 5.5 inch display, octa core processor and unibody metal construction.
Blu Vivo 5 features a 5.5 inch HD (1280 × 720) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core Mediatek 6753 processor with MALI-T720 GPU and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is upgradeable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system.
Vivo 5 comes with an 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 5 megapixel front camera. It comes with 32 GB in-built storage which can be expanded through a micro SD card. It has a 3,150 mAh removable battery.
On the connectivity front, the Vivo 5 comes with 4G connectivity with WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), A-GPS, Type C-USB, and bluetooth. Its dimensions measure 151.9 x 74.6 x 6.9 mm.
On the other hand, Vivo XL also features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 × 720) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Octa-Core Mediatek 6753 processor with MALI-T720 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system also upgrade able to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system.
The Vivo XL comes with 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable via a micro SD card. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. The device gets the power from a 3150 mAh battery. Connectivity wise, the Vivo XL also comes with 4G and offers Type C-USB, GPS and WiFi. Its dimensions measure 155.2 x 76.6 x 7.5 mm.
The Vivo 5 comes in white silver and solid gold colors and will be available next month while Vivo XL comes in liquid gold, Chrome silver, midnight blue and rose gold and will be available in this month. Both the phones will be available for purchase from Amazon and Best Buy.
Blu entered India with two Windows Smartphones in October last year. However, there is no confirmation whether Blu will bring the two new smartphones to India or not.
