BlackBerry’s first ever Android phone, the Priv, has recently been released in few markets. Meanwhile, pictures of BlackBerry’s second Android phone has surfaced. As per reports, the 2nd BlackBerry smartphone with Android operating system has been named as BlackBerry Vienna.
CrackBerry, a technology focussed website, has also published images of the so called BlackBerry Vienna. As per the images, the Vienna has BlackBerry’s iconic QWERTY keypad and not the slider keypad as the BlackBerry Priv has.
However, the website added that these are early renders and the final design of Vienna may differ.
Note that BlackBerry Priv has so far been made available in only four countries – the US, the UK, Canada and Germany. The device has so far got mixed reviews. While some praised its look and feel, some have even termed it heavy and a bit cheap looking. While most have praised its camera quality others have complained about software bugs.
The BlackBerry Priv comes with a 5.4 inch display with Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) resolution. The AMOLED screen is slightly curved in the edges. The smartphone has a slider QWERTY keypad as well. It is based on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and is run by the Snapdragon 808 hexa core processor with the help of 3 GB RAM. The smartphone offers 32 GB internal storage and a 200 GB micro SD card slot.
The handset is armed with an 18 Megapixel rear camera that comes with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, optical image stabilization, Autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash light. It has a 2 megapixel front camera.
