BlackBerry is reportedly working on a mid-range yet a large screen bearing smartphone, which is identified as BlackBerry Z3 and is codenamed as Jakarta. To slotted in the mid-tier, the BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta will feature a 5-inch touchscreen display and a dual-core mobile processor, reported BBin. The BlackBerry Z3 smartphone is expected to be released sometime this year but there are no confirmations on the launch time and price.
As reported, the BlackBerry Z3 flaunts a 5-inch LCD touchscreen display with 960×540 pixel resolution. It said to have a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1.5 GB RAM, and 8 GB on-board storage. We hope there is a memory card slot as well.
The purpoted BlackBerry Z3, which sports a rectangular mono-block design, has a 5 megapixel Autofocus camera at the back along with an LED Flash. The camera is said to offer up to 5x Digital Zoom facility and seems decent enough for capturing images to be shared over the social network.
From the image, it is apparent that the speaker mesh is located at the back and the smartphone has no hardware buttons except volume control. We hope that this smartphone would be capable of installing Android apps out of the box and let the users enjoy them without much hassle.
