BlackBerry to shut BBM Music

Company will offer one month free subscription on new RDIO service to the current BBM Music subscribers.

Blackberry has decided to shut BBM Music streaming service, a cloud-based service was intended to let users create an ever-evolving library of music that could be shared with other BBM Music users, from June 2.It was launched in August 2011.

BlackBerry users paying for the service will not be billed after April for using the service and post expiry of the billing period the songs will not be accessible.

After June 2 BlackBerry will be giving a 30 day pass to BBM Music streaming service user to access Rdio- a service which offers unlimited, on-demand access to more than 18 million songs, as a compensation.
