If you are a Blackberry PlayBook user and curse the lack of BBM on it, there is a good news for you. A screenshot has been posted by bbota.cn a Chinese tech blog with what looks like a native BlackBerry Messenger App on PlayBook. As of now there is no confirmation that this is a native app for BBM running on PlayBook, but the picture indicates that a BBM app may be on its way.
Even after the second version of the QNX (operating system of PlayBook) was released, which brought in a native email app, BBM remained absent and needed a BlackBerry phone connected via BlackBerry Bridge in order for it to run on the tablet. BlackBerry is going to unveil its latest operating system on January 30 and BlackBerry PlayBook could be up for an upgrade, which could include the BBM app. However, there are doubts as well, since the tablet did not bring much success to BlackBerry in terms of sales and therefore, RIM is not expected to make much effort on this tablet.
Blackberry PlayBook with native BBM app spotted
The PlayBook tablet, which did not get BlackBberry messenger app and uses the BlackBerry smartphone connected through bridge for this function, could soon get one.
