BlackBerry PlayBook now has a host of features including a preloaded music store, a bookstore and video games.
Research In Motion has announced a deal with 7Digital to provide BlackBerry PlayBook owners a preloaded music store to rival iTunes.
7digital has about 13 million music tracks and the store is already very popular among BlackBerry users.
“The 7digital Music Store is a perfect complement to the high-performance BlackBerry PlayBook, providing users with fast searches and downloads, and a slick interface that makes it very easy to discover, purchase and enjoy music,” said Alistair Mitchell, vice president, BlackBerry Messenger platform and integrated services.
RIM also lined up many other deals, including Kobo’s bookstore and video games.
Content and applications has been a weak point for RIM. This development should help the company win more customers.
