BlackBerry is all set to launch a new smartphone, the KEY2 pretty soon. Now, just ahead of official launch, the smartphone complete specifications and price has been leaked online leaving little to the imagination.
The specs and price of the smartphone were leaked known tipster Evan Blass. Starting with the price of the upcoming phone, it will cost $649 (approx. Rs 43,500) in the US, EUR 649 (approx Rs 51,300) in Europe, and $829 (approx Rs 42,950) in Canada.
To start with, the smartphone comes loaded with a 4.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels, 3:2 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 434ppi. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clocked by 2.2GHz. It features a 6GB of RAM and comes in two storage options: 64GB and 128GB. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the BlackBerry KEY2 features a dual rear camera with a combination of the 12-megapixel sensor with 1.28-micron pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, dual Phase detection and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.6 aperture, 1.0-micron size coupled with dual-tone LED flash. The phone comes with an 8-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera with the selfie flash via LCD display.
The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it comes loaded with a host of BlackBerry apps and Google apps. The phone is juiced up by a 3500mAh battery along with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. On the connectivity front, it supports Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIM, WiFi, USB Type-C, OTG, NFC, FM Radio, and GPS. The phone measures 151.4 x 71.8 x 8.5mm.
Blass previously revealed some press renders of the upcoming smartphone as well in Silver and Black colour options. The renders reveal that the smartphone will feature a similar look as seen in the BlackBerry KEY1. One can easily see the physical QWERTY keyboard, which could also be used for gesture navigation, which was also present in its predecessor.
