BlackBerry Aurora smartphone, which was recently found listed for pre-order on a couple of Indonesian retailer’s websites, is now made official by the BB Merah Putih, which holds the brand licensing agreement for manufacturing and selling BlackBerry-branded smartphones in Indonesia. The smartphone is priced at (Indonesian Rupiah) RP 34,99,000, which is approximately Rs 17,481 and is up for pre-orders on various online e-commerce websites in Indonesia starting Friday, March 3, 2017, until Sunday, March 12, 2017.
The BlackBerry Aurora features a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and will be powered by a quad-Core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. It will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery. For the optics, it is likely to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with Dual LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The handset measures 152 x 76.8 x 8.5mm and weighs around 178 grams. Moreover, The smartphone comes pre-loaded with BlackBerry Hub, a unified Messaging inbox which combines emails, texts and messages from social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, BBM, Whatsapp, Instagram and others.
