Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge to be available starting December 30

The Black Pearl variant is listed with the price of Rs 56,900 but comes with 128GB of internal storage as compared to 32GB in other variants.

In a quest to stand against the new colour variants introduced by Apple for its iPhone this year, Samsung has now listed the Black Pearl variant of the Galaxy S7 Edge on its Indian website. The smartphone comes with a price of Rs 56,900 and will be shipped starting December 30. Further, given the extra price, the Black Pearl variant comes with 128GB of internal storage. Samsung first unveiled the Black Pearl colour variant earlier this month in South Korea. Further, the South-Korean giant also introduced the Pink Gold variant in India last week. In both the cases, the new colour variants don’t extend to the regular Galaxy S7.

For the specifications, the Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED curved display. Underneath the hood, we get an Octa-Core 2.3 GHz Exynos 8890 paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB Internal storage which is further expandable up to 256 via card.

Moreover, as the name suggests, the S7 Edge boasts an edge display, like the S6 Edge and is water and dust resistant boasting certification. Though the smartphone runs on 6.0 Marshmallow, Samsung is already testing Android Nougat on the device via Galaxy Beta Program.

For the camera, the device sports a 12-megapixel camera with F1.7 aperture. Besides, the rear camera of S7 Edge is armed with phase detection (PDAF) technology, motion panorama, motion photo, and hyper lapse features. Up front, It has a 5-megapixel front camera that comes with wide selfie mode.

Being a Dual device, the Galaxy S7 Edge sports a hybrid dual SIM (the SIM2 slot can be used for micro SD card or the SIM2). In terms of battery, the Galaxy S7 Edge packs a 3600 battery which supports wireless charging with Quick charging facilities.
