Bharti Airtel has today announced that it is partnering with HMD Global to offer cashback on select Nokia smartphones. The brand is offering Rs 2,000 cashback on Nokia 3 and Nokia 2 phones as a part of Airtel’s ‘Mera Phela Smartphone’ initiative.
After the cashback, the Nokia 3 will be available at an effective price of Rs 7,499, while the Nokia 2 will be available at an effective price of Rs 4,999. However, in order to avail this offer, users need to make a down payment of Rs 9,499 for Nokia 3 and Rs 6,999 for Nokia 2 phones.
The cashback benefit will be given to customers in two instalments over 36 months. A customer needs to make Airtel prepaid recharges worth Rs 3500 within the 18 months to be eligible for the first cashback instalment of Rs 500. Similarly, another set of recharges worth Rs 3500 over the next 18 months will make the customer eligible for the second instalment of Rs 1500. Further, both the smartphones will come bundled with a recharge of Rs 169 offering 1GB 4G data per day and unlimited calling on both local and STD networks.
To recall, Nokia 3 was launched in India for Rs 9,499 along with Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 in June last year. The Nokia 2 was launched in October last year and it comes with a price of Rs 6,999.
Recollecting some key specifications, the Nokia 3 comes with 5-inch HD 2.5 D curved displays with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. We get 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MTK 6737 Chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Nokia 3 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs in a 2650 mAh battery inside.
For the optics, we get a combination of 8-megapixel cameras on both front and back with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron Pixel size along with LED flash at the back and display flash at the front. For connectivity, we have Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC for sharing. Apart from this, we get Accelerometer (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. The device measures at 143.4 x 71.4 x 8.48 mm.
Nokia 2, on the other hand, features 5-inch HD LTPS display with a Resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels coupled with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The major highlight of the device is the 4100mAh battery, which the company claims to last 2 days.
