Maruti Suzuki Indian Ltd, one of India’s largest car maker, has unveiled a new concept known as Concept Future S at the Auto Expo 2018. The new concept shows the glimpse of company’s idea of changing the hatchback cars.
The brand says that the new concept has been developed in the research and development facility in India. Interestingly, this is the second car after Vitara Brezza has been designed entirely in the country. Starting with the design, the car certainly looks modern with some upright design elements. The headlamps and tail-lamps looks sleek and aggressive, while the car as a whole gives a mini SUV look.
On the inside, one can see all-in-one infotainment system that houses speedometer, and other features. However, it would be interesting whether the company will evolve it into an entry-level hatchback to compete with the likes of Renault Kwid and eventually phase out its hot-selling hatchback series, the Maruti Suzuki Alto.

“Compact is the natural choice of India’s car customers. Compact needs a fresh design language, one that is bold, confident and dynamic. Our designers have created this brand new design, aggressive on the outside, and bold and inviting interiors. Nothing like this has ever been attempted before on a vehicle this size. Concept Future S will define the next generation of design for compact vehicles in India,” said Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.
