A new version of Asus’s camera smartphone, the Zenfone Selfie, is now available. The new Asus Zenfone Selfie has 3 GB RAM and costs Rs 17,999. Earlier, the 2 GB RAM version of Zenfone Selfie was launched in India which is now available from Flipkart for Rs 15,999.
The 3 GB RAM based Zenfone Selfie though has only 64 GB expandable storage option while the 2 GB model can accommodate a 128 GB micro SD card. However, the new model has 32 GB of Internal Memory while the older one has 16 GB inbuilt memory only. There’s no other difference in the two models.
Like the 2 GB model, the 3 GB RAM based Zenfone Selfie offers dual SIM and 4G connectivity. Most importantly, it has 13 megapixel camera unit in both its rear and front panels. Both the Zenfone Selfie models have full HD resolution based 5.5 inch IPS touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating, anti fingerprint technology and 10 finger touch support.
Also like the 2 GB version, the new Zenfone Selfie comes with Android Lollipop operating system with Zen UI on top, 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 615 octa core processor, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), and a 3000 mAh battery. Both the models of Zenfone Selfie have identical measurements as well – they measure 77.2×156.5×10.8 mm and weigh 170 grams.
Asus has several Zenfone 2 versions in the Rs 9,000 to Rs 30,000 price bracket. Recently we reviewed the Zenfone 2 Laser’s lower end model that costs Rs 9,999 and is one of the best smartphones in the sub-Rs 10,000 price bracket.
The costliest phone in the range is the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML which has 4 GB RAM and is available for Rs 29,999. It has dual SIM, 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad core processor, Android Lollipop operating system, 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera, 4G and 5.5 inch connectivity.
