Asus is likely to release ZenFone 3 series smartphones on May 30. Now, before that the company has made official a new smartphone called as Asus Zenfone Go TV in its home country, i.e Taiwan.
Asus Zenfone Go TV is priced at TWD 5490 (approximately Rs 11,250). It will be available in total eight colours which includes Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Lake Blue, Glacier Gray, Sheer Gold, Glamour Red, Floral Pink and Silver Blue color variants.
The main USP of Zenfone Go TV is that it features a built-in Sony IC (SMT-EW100) digital TV tuner that allows you to watch broadcast television on the go (in select countries), without the need of internet connection. In India, Doordarshan is the only channel available via this technology.
The Asus Zenfone Go TV features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor and 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB and 32GB of internal storage in this device to which you can add 64GB more via a micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Zen UI on top of it. This handset has a 3010 mAh lithium-ion battery which claims to offer upto 335 hours of standby time.
The Asus Zenfone Go TV has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, a Micro USB 2.0 port. The handset measures 151 x 76.9 x 10.7 mm and weighs 160 grams.
