Asus has announced the launch of an upgraded version of its Fonepad tablet, which is named as the Asus Fonepad 7, during the ongoing IFA event in Berlin.
As the name suggests, the tablet has a 7 inch display with 800 x 1280 pixel Resolution and support for 10 point touch. Its IPS panel promises better contrast and vibrancy. The Fonepad 7 runs on the Intel Atom Z2560 Dual core processor, running at 1.6 GHz, as opposed to the older 1.2 GHz single core Processor of the earlier Asus Fonepad.
The 1 GB RAM bearing Asus Fonepad 7 will be made available in 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB variants, each versions though will have micro SD card slot using which one can expand their memory to up to 32 GB.
There is a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera at the rear and 1.2-megapixel camera on the front of the tablet. Besides, the Asus Fonepad 7 has 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity and comes with embedded earpiece as the earlier Fonepad as well.
The device is likely to be made available in the markets soon while the pricing and availability details have not yet been revealed by the Company.
