Asus, following the launch of its cheaper MeMo pad tablet in India, has now unveiled a 10 inch display based tablet at the ongoing Computex event in Taipei. The new Asus MeMo Pad 10 offers Android Jelly Bean operating system but has only WiFi connectivity.
The MeMo Pad’s display comes with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. The tablet has Intel Clovertrail+ Z2560 processor, and not the Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor as was expected. The dual core processor has a clock speed of 1.6 GHz and offers hyper threading technology that claims to offer superior multi-tasking capabilities.
The Asus MeMo Pad 10 also has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, and 32 GB expandable memory slot. There is a 5 megapixel auto focus camera at the rear and a 1.2-megapixel camera on the front of the device. The Asus MeMo Pad 10 has WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity but the cellular connectivity is missing.
There is a 25Wh battery pack in the device which as per company claims can power the device for up to 10 hours. More details on its price and availability are awaited.
