Asus has announced that Transformer tablet will soon get the update for Ice Cream Sandwich. Since the time Google Android Ice Ceram Sandwich was unveiled device manufacturers like HTC and Sony Ericsson have announced the plans for inclusion of the ICS through an update in their newer and existing devices as well.
The news on the upgrade came from Asus Tech’s official twitter account where the Asus team revealed the information. According to the twitter post “Coming to an @ASUS #EeePadTransformer near you… Stay tuned for dates.”
Asus has made it clear that the transformer tablet will soon get the ICS in the form of an update but the date on which the roll out of the next generation operating system will begin has still been kept under wraps.
The update will be delivered to all older devices running Android honeycomb presently. But along with that the newer Quad core Asus Transformer 2 tablet that is due for launch on the coming 9 of Nov this year will also get the same operating system as preinstalled.
In the past also Asus has been very timely with all the updates and the system. The launch date for the Asus Transformer 2 has been kept as 9 of November as disclosed by the Chairman of Asus Jonney Shih.
