Taiwanese electronics brand Asus has announced three new Android tablets at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
These are the Eee Pad Slider, Eee Pad Transformer and Eee Pad MeMo.
AsusTek’s Eee Pad Slider comes with an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 10 inch IPS touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Slider also has dual-cameras with a 1.2 mega Pixel front-facing camera and a 5 mega pixel camera at the back. Eee Pad Slider will run Android Honeycomb OS and is expected to be priced between Rs 22,500 to Rs 36,000 when it is released in May this year.
The second tablet from Asus, Eee Pad Transformer, has a detachable keyboard. It too has a 10.1 inch screen and runs on Honeycomb. The tablet will be launched in April and will be priced from Rs 18,000 to Rs 31,000.
Eee Pad MeMo is a 7.1 inch touchscreen tablet that comes with a stylus. The MeMo will also run on Honeycomb and will feature two cameras, a micro-HDMI port for display connectivity and support for 1080p high definition video playback. It is expected to be out in June at a price ranging from Rs 22,500 to Rs 31,000.
