Asus has slashed the price of its Zenfone 5 (8 GB) smartphone which will now be available for Rs 7,999. Till now, the Asus Zenfone 5 was being sold for Rs 9,499. However, the 16 GB is available for Rs 9,999. Note that both the versions have 64 GB micro SD card slot.
“Keeping the path breaking response, ASUS has introduced the smartphone at a special price of the special occasion of Republic Day. The device will we made available on 21st January on Flipkart,” said Asus in a press release.
The ZenFone 5 has a 5-inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixel Resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has 2 GB RAM and a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom dual core processor. The handset has got Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
The dual SIM Asus Zenfone 5 offers a 2110 mAh Li-Ion battery that claims to offer 18 hours of talktime. This 145 grams weighing smartphone is 10.34 mm thick and has Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, 3G connectivity, and WiFi. It boasts an 8 Megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.
