Asus has started working to release the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer family of tablets, Dutch Site AndroidPlanet has reported. However, there was no time period specified for the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update roll out.
The new Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update brings new set of features and several improvements under the hood. Specifically meant for the tablets, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update brings a new feature – Multiple User Accounts.
This new Multiple User Accounts feature lets the tablet owners to create a user accounts and each user can have a separate home screen, widgets, apps, background and games. However, do note that creating more user accounts could also mean relatively less space per user.
Asus had recently pushed out the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer Prime TF201 tablet. The other Transformer Infinity TF300 and TF700 tablets will also get the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. As usual, the WiFi only tablets will get the updates first and after that will the WiFi+3G tablets will get the update following that.
