Asus introduces a new line of ROG gaming laptops, desktops, starts at Rs 1,64,990

The most expensive of the line, the Zephyrus S GX701GX gaming laptop packs high-end computing prowess with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. The laptop offers a 17-inch display with 144Hz 3ms response time and a screen-to-body ratio of 81 percent.

After announcing the OMG days sale for its smartphones, Asus has announced a new line of ROG laptops and desktops with the launch of the ROG Zephyrus S GX531, ROG Zephyrus S GX701, and ROG Strix SCAR II and the GL12CX desktop. The new ROG lineup is powered by NVIDIA’s latest RTX series GPUs and come at a starting price of Rs 1,64,990 in India.

ROG Strix SCAR II

The ROG Strix SCAR II features a 15.6-inch screen with a high of 144Hz and 3ms response time. The laptop is powered by the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H six-core with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics, 24GB of and 1TB of SSD storage. The laptop comes with a HyperStrike Pro Keyboard with four AURA RGB backlight zones, prominent WASD keys and 1.8mm key travel distance. Additional features include Armoury Crate with Aura Sync, HyperCool Pro and ROG RangeBoost technology for WiFi. The new ROG Strix SCAR II will be available with RTX 2070 and RTX 2060 for Rs 2,09,990 and Rs 1,64,990 respectively.

The Zephyrus S GX701GX gaming laptop packs high-end computing prowess with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. The laptop offers a 17-inch display with 144Hz 3ms response time and a screen-to-body ratio of 81 percent. The S GX701GX also offers an exclusive Switch that easily transitions between better gaming and longer battery life and the patented AAS cooling system sustains high performance via efficient cooling. The gaming laptop creates the perfect ambience for gaming, with per-key RGB Lighting and Aura Sync, which also extends illumination to volume roller for quick adjustment and a glowing numpad that appears on the touchpad. The Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX701GX will be available in India for a price of Rs 3,49,990.

Asus has announced the world’s slimmest gaming laptop which measures at 16.15mm on its thickest side and features a 15.6-inch display. The laptop is powered by the latest Intel Core i7-8750H CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q, a premium 144Hz refresh rate display and 3ms response time. The Zephyrus S GX531 also offers patented AAS cooling system, 12V anti-dust cooling fans, 5 heat pipes and 4 heat sinks. The Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX531 will be available in Black Metal colour for a price of Rs 2,39,990.

Asus GL12 CX Desktop

Asus has also introduced the GL12 CX desktop which offers the highest configuration of up to Intel Coffee Lake i9-9900K processors with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, HDR gaming, 2TB HDD, 512GB SSD and 32GB of RAM. ROG Strix GL12CX features a hot-swap 2.5-inch SSD tray along with a customized Cooler Master MasterLiquid Pro 120 closed-loop liquid cooler that keeps CPU temperatures in check to prevent heat-induced hitches and slowdowns in performance. The Asus GL12 CX Desktop will be available for a price of Rs 3,29,990.
