Asus has brought a new version of its Fonepad tablet. The new version, Asus Fonepad (FE375CL), not only features the latest Android operating system but it also offers LTE connectivity as well as high end specs.
To start with, the Asus Fonepad (FE375CL) has a 7 inch LED backlight based touchscreen with 1280×800 pixels resolution. This IPS panel is said to have 10 finger touch support as well as anti-fingerprint coating. It is armed with the 64 bit, Intel Atom Z3530 quad core Processor with 1.3 Ghz clockspeed and 2 GB RAM. The tablet, which probably be called as Fonepad 2015, comes in 8 GB and 16 GB internal storage variants. Both the versions have a micro SD card slot as well that can handle a card of up to 64 GB.
The Asus Fonepad (FE375CL) has one micro SIM card slot and if in your region 4G network is available then you can enjoy the superfast internet connectivity in this tablet else you can rely on 3G. Note that you can make calls as well. The tablet has also decent looking 5 megapixel rear camera with auto focus ability and it claims to be capable of capturing full HD videos. In the front, the tablet has a 2 megapixel fixed focus unit which too can capture high definition videos.
The Asus Fonepad (FE375CL) offers GPS with GLONASS and A-GPS for navigation. It has WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 as well. This tablet measures 108.9 x 194.3 x 9.8 mm and weighs 299 grams with a 15Wh Li-Po battery that claims to offer 12 hours of back up. Fonepad (FE375CL) has two front speakers and comes with SonicMaster technology. It has G-sensor, E-compass, proximity, and hall sensor.
Our Take
The Asus Fonepad (FE375CL) is definitely quite attractive considering it has a 64-bit processor, calling facility, 4G connectivity, good storage, and even dual camera. I have a bit of doubt about its battery back up but all will depend on its pricing ofcourse. If like all its predecessors, it would have a price tag of less than Rs 15,000, then it will be a stellar product.
