Upcoming Asus Eee Pad Transformer could be the fastest Honeycomb tablet, according to Fudzilla.
According to the report, Asus is planning to integrate Nvidia’s forthcoming Kal-El system on a chip (SOC) on the Transformer tablet which, according to Nvidia, around 25 to 30 per cent faster than its predecessor. The Kal El processors, also known as Tegra 3, would then replace the Tegra 2 processors in the Android devices. However, details of the device or the date of launch are not out yet.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer has been the bestselling Honeycomb device so far, which impressed the Android users with both its price and specs. Some time ago, the Asus chairman Jonney Shih had also promised that the next version of the device would be impressive.
Some time ago, Nvidia had showed the technical demonstration of Kal El processor, in which the prototype Honeycomb device was shown playing a resource hogging game; the game performance slowed when two of the quad cores of the processors were switched off, with game lagging significantly.
