Asus brings Eee Pad Transformer Prime to India for Rs 49,999

The tablet can also be used as a laptop with the help of a supplied dock

As reported by The Mobile Indian earlier, Asus has announced the launch of its Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet in India. The tablet, which can be transformed into a laptop with the help of a supplied dock, is priced at Rs 49,999.

The Eee Pad Transformer Prime comes with a 10.1 inch super IPS capacitive touch screen with 10 finger multi touch support. The display is made off and is hence scratch proof.

Currently, the tablet comes with 3.2 Honeycomb operating system but is upgradable to Android 4,0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Asus has fitted a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor and 1 of for a smoother function on this tablet. Besides, the tablet comes in 32 GB and 64 GB memory variants.

There is a 1.2 front camera and an 8 megapixel back camera with flash on the Transformer Prime tablet. Besides, it has WiFi, HDMI port, micro card reader, and audio jack. For better gaming experience, Asus has provided G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Gyroscope, and E-compass.

The unique proposition of this tablet is the docking pad it comes with. The docking pad enables users to use the tablet as a laptop and multiplying Transformer Prime’s usability.

Weighing 586 grams only without its dock, the Eee Pad Transformer Prime comes with a 25Wh Battery that as per the company provides 12 hours of usage. The dock has also its battery and hence when joined with the tablet, extends the battery life of the later to 18 hours.
