Asus started selling the base variant of their flagship Asus 6Z in India last week and today the company added the 128GB and 256GB storage variants to go on sale as well. But that’s not it, the Taiwanese company is also pushing an update to the Asus 6Z bringing new features, stability improvements and the latest security update to Indian users.
The latest update shifts the build number of the Asus 6Z to v16.1210.1906.156 and weighs in at 400MB. The update brings the latest June 2019 Android security patch along with new features and some stability improvements.
Among the new features is the added support for AR Core which will enable the device to integrate virtual content with the real environment. AR Core will help the phone understand better motion tracking, Environmental understanding and Light Estimation. Another new feature is the new 8X zoom mode which we can expect to be Digital Zoom since there was no mention of the feature when the phone was first launched.
The update improves the Video call Experience and video recording at Full HD quality. The changelog also notes that the update optimises the quality of the phone when using Noise reduction, improves the stability of the camera flipping and screenshots.

The Asus 6Z comes in three variants – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage priced at Rs 31,999, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at Rs 34,999, and the top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at Rs 39,999.
The Asus 6Z features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ NanoEdge display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, HDR support and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Processor along with Adreno 640 GPU, up to 256GB storage and 8GB RAM.
The major highlight of the Asus 6Z of the new flipping camera mechanism which allows users to use the main camera for selfies and video calling. The phone features a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.79 Aperture and a 13MP secondary sensor with a 125-degree ultra-wide angle lens and f/2.4 aperture. The Asus 6Z is backed up by a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4.0 and it runs on Android Pie with the company’s Zen UI 6 on top.
