Soon after announcing three tablets, Archos, a French mobile phone and tablet maker, has announced two new 4G phones, which are named as Diamond 2 Plus and Diamond 2 Note. Archos Diamond 2 Plus is priced at £199 (approximately Rs 19,600) while Archos Diamond 2 Note is priced at £249 (approximately Rs 24,525). Both will be available in May for sale from this year. The smartphones are to be showcased at Mobile World Conference, 2016 which is to be held in Barcelona this February 22.
The Archos Diamond 2 Plus comes with a 5.5 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with DragonTrail glass protection. The handset is powered by a 2.0 (4 x 2.0GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) GHz octa core Mediatek Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860MP2 GPU which is coupled with 4 GB RAM. The device has 64 GB of internal memory and a 128 GB expandable storage slot. It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Its dimensions are 148.3 x 73.8 x 8.3 mm and it weighs 130 grams.
The dual SIM Archos Diamond 2 Plus is backed by 3,000 mAh battery. It sports a 20-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. For connectivity, this handset offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB Type-C port, GPS and ofcourse 4G.
On the other hand, Archos Diamond 2 Note is a 6 inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD IPS 2.5D display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) Octa-Core 64-bit processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU which is coupled with 3 GB RAM. It has 32 GB of internal memory and a 128 GB expandable storage slot. The device comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and 3610 mAh battery. It sports a 16-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. For connectivity, this dual sim handset offer 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB port and GPS. Its dimensions are 158.35 x 82.7 x 8.7 mm and it weighs 150 grams.
