Apple introduced its next generation of iPhones along with the Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatch at an event in San Jose. We already know the pricing of the latest iPhones, though the cost of the new smartwatch was not known until now.
According to a report by Gadgets360, the Apple Watch Series 4 will come with a starting price of Rs 40,900. The report highlights that the Watch Series 4 GPS will be priced at Rs 40,900 for the 40mm variant, while the 44mm model will come with a price tag of Rs 43,900. The Apple Watch Series 4 Cellular 40mm edition with aluminium case will be priced at Rs 49,900, while the 44mm model for the same will cost Rs 52,900. Both the GPS and Cellular variants will be available in Silver, Space Grey and Gold aluminium case.
Moving, Apple Watch Series 4 Cellular stainless steel variant with a Sports Band comes with a price of Rs 67,900 for the 40mm model. The same model with Milanese Loop wristband comes at a price tag of Rs 76,900. The 44mm stainless steel model with Sports Band will be priced at Rs 71,900, while the same model with Milanese Loop wristband will be available for Rs 80,900. The stainless steel model comes in Black and Gold colour options.
Recollecting some key specifications, the major highlight of the Watch Series 4 smartwatch is the new built-in Electrocardiograph (ECG) scanner. This is the first smartwatch that comes loaded with ECG, which is available to customers commercially. One can simply place his/her finger on the digital crown to register an ECG. Apple has already certified the device with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US to allow the Watch Series 4 to be used as a medical equipment.
