Apple has started rolling out iOS 11.0.2 update for its iOS devices that contains several bug fixes and improvements. The update would probably solve the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus cracking sound issue while making a call, and issues which caused photos to be hidden and email bug fixes.
The update is about 279.9 MB in size and is now available to all compatible iOS devices including iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and other Apple devices starting from iPhone 5S or newer, 5th Gen iPad or newer and iPod touch 6th Gen. In order to check for the update, users need to go to Settings> General > Software Update to check for the update. Previously, many iOS users complained that with the latest iOS 11 update, the battery was draining at a faster rate and some also reported Exchange server issue as well which was resolved by iOS 11.0.1 update.
Meanwhile, according to a data collected by analytics company Mixpanel, the latest iOS 11 is installed on 25.28 percent of iOS devices after being released to the public last week. The firm says that iOS 10 is installed on 67.83 percent of devices, while 6.89 percent continues to run on an earlier version of iOS. Interestingly, the iOS 11 adoption rates are much lower when compared to the iOS 10. The iOS 10 was installed on 34 percent devices under a week of launch.
The iOS 11 comes with new features and improvement over its older version. It includes features like iPhone-to-iPhone payments, do not disturb while driving mode which appears to be similar to Bike Mode by Samsung, multitasking features, the Files App and additional channels to use Apple Pencil with your iPad.
