Apple has released a new iOS 5.0.1 software update for its mobile devices to fix the battery issues and also other fixes. Apple had acknowledged the battery issues pertaining to the iOS 5.0 software update and eventually rolled out the iOS 5.0.1 fix today. This new fix addresses to solve the battery life issues, and even adds multi-tasking for the original (first generation) iPad.
After applying the iOS 5.0 software update, several users had complained about battery getting drained faster than usual. New iOS 5.0.1 update is being pushed Over-The-Air and comes in small file size package – 50 MB. The iOS device users need not worry about downloading large file but usage of WiFi connection is advised.
The iOS 5.0.1 software update also brings multi-tasking gestures for the first generation iPad which is great for users as they won’t have to jailbreak the tablet just for that. Other improvements include better voice recognition for Australian users and fix for documents in the Cloud bugs.
Apple’s new iOS 5.0.1 software update is compatible only with iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod Touch fourth generation and iPod Touch third generation.
