After launching the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple is now reportedly set to announce a refreshed variant of MacBook Pro as soon as this October. If Apple manages to follow this timeline then we might as well see the new MacBook on retail shelves by early November 2016.
Further, Apple is currently working on development of the macOS 10.12.1 and if latest rumours are to be believed, the development is in fact in last stages. As per a report of MacRumours, Apple will be releasing another beta version of macOS early next week for testing so that the final version is wrapped up by end of the week.
The new MacBook has been rumoured for quite a while now. Apart from upgraded internal hardware, the new MacBook Pro is likely to come with Apple’s famous Touch ID and a new OLED display just above the keyboard which might be used for toggling various controls.
The new MacBook will come in two screen size variants – 13 inch variant and a 15 inch variant. The refreshed new MacBook Pro is likely to come with Polaris graphics rather than AMD essentially in the 15-inch variant. The new MacBook Pro will also feature USB Type-C ports but there haven’t been any rumours of it having an HDMI port or even an SD card slot.
Apart from this, Apple is also working with LG to develop a new 4K external display which will be a fair replacement to Thunderbolt Display which Apple discontinued a while back. However, even if the new MacBook Pro was announced this October, do not expect it in India anytime soon.
