The iPhone X will be available for pre-order starting from October 27 and will start shipping from November 3 this year. The smartphone will be available India from the same date as well.
The company has totally redesigned the latest special edition of iPhone with a tonne of interesting features. To start with, this is the first iPhone that features a bezel-less display and sports a 5.8-inch Super Retina Display, which is made out of OLED screen. Moving on, the iPhone X sports a new TrueDepth Camera, which the company claims is used to map user’s face and unlock it using FaceID. The camera basically houses dot projector, which maps user’s face with millions of dot along with an Infrared camera, which takes an infrared photo and flood illuminator to allow FaceID to work in low light. Then there is an ambient light sensor, speaker, microphone, Proximity Sensor and front camera.
The new iPhone X is powered by the latest A11 Bionic chip with a neural engine, which the company helps improve machine learning algorithm. The neural engine comes with a dual-core processor. Apple says FaceID is safer as compared to the TouchID. The company says that it the latest Chipset is the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone. It features six-core CPU with two performance cores that are 25 percent faster and four efficiency cores that are 70 percent faster than the A10 Fusion. A11 Bionic also integrates an Apple-designed GPU with a three-core design that delivers up to 30 percent faster graphics performance than the previous generation. The chipset also supports augmented reality as well.
On the camera front, the device sports a dual-camera setup at the back, which is aligned vertically. The dual rear cameras come with a combination of 12-megapixel wide angle lens with Aperture f/1.8 and 12-megapixel telephoto lens with aperture f/2.4 with both the Sensors support Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The iPhone X also comes loaded with a new Portrait lighting mode both on the front and back, which basically advance version of the portrait mode. For the front, there is a 7-megapixel camera.
