Apple will launch its fifth generation iPad tablet and iPad Mini with Retina display this October 22, according to a report of AllthingsD.Apple apparently has sent out invite for an event taking place in this month where the two devices will be revealed.
The fifth generation iPad tablet will feature new Apple A7 Processor and higher resolution packing Retina display. It is possible that the new iPad tablet would have the same resolution as its predecessors – 2048×1536 with 264 pixels per inch. But the new iPad would be slimmer and lighter as compared to the previous models. The new A7 chip is likely to be running the 64 bit architecture as the Apple iPhone 5S. At its rear, the device would have a powerful iSight camera while in the front, there would be a FaceTime HD supporting camera.
The new iPad Mini 2 is expected to sport a Retina display with higher resolution. Apple is also expected to add more powerful processor in the iPad Mini tablet. The Mini 2 will also get the much hypes Touch ID sensor with a similar functionality for users. But there is no information on the cost of the devices.
Besides, Apple is also expected to add the new A7 processor along with the M7 co-processor in the iPad Mini 2 for better battery performance.
