After a recent report of Apple Airpods going up for pre-orders, the wireless earphones finally seems to have shipped to first bunch of customers and are due for delivery on December 21. A report from AppleInsider claims that Apple has begun the shipment process and is on track with the scheduled delivery on the above said date.
For those who are not aware, Apple Airpods were first unveiled at this year’s iPhone launch event back in September. However, with heavy pre-orders in first go coupled with poor supplies Apple kept on procrastinating the release. Not only this, Apple later went on ahead and said that the launch was delayed for indefinite period of time which is when people started speculating the possible reasons for the delay. Some reports claimed that the wireless earphones will not up for sale before January 2017 and adding to this, a recent report claimed that Apple is facing some audio-syncing issue with its wireless Airpods.
But All’s well that ends well as Apple Airpods are now up for grabs. In the United States, the new Airpods cost $159 (approx Rs 15,400) and we don’t really know if Apple Airpods are ever coming to India and if Yes, when?
Till then, to brief things up, Apple Airpods contain three unique W1 chips for high quality media playback with reliable connection. These earphones have Infrared sensors which detect when the Airpods are fitted in your ear and plays content accordingly. Moreover, these also come equipped with motion accelerometers which can detect your tap. This tap feature enables users to access Siri with a double tap and also ask questions, thanks to the voice Accelerometer present there as well. Each Airpod can last for about 5 hours and is to be charged by placing it in its tiny charging case which can provide a battery backup of about 24 hours.
Wireless is surely the future but at this price in a price-sensitive market like India, is the Airpods the way to go? Let us know in the comment section below.
