Apple has revealed a new series of watches on Wednesday at an event in San Francisco. The new watch is completely sealed except its speaker ports. Apple has revealedthat a new mechanism that allows the speaker port to push out the water that gets into it. The US based company revealed that the new watch comes with algorithm that allows it to calculate calorie consumption during swimming as well which is otherwise very difficult. The price for the watches starts at $369 and will be available in select markets from September 13.
The new Apple Watch Series 2 comes with dual core Processor that is up to 50 per cent faster and new GPU which is said to offer two times better graphics. Series 2 also comes with 2nd Gen display, which is said to be brightest display Apple has produced till date with 1000 nits of brightness. It also comes with GPS.
It is made of aluminium, titanium and a new ceramic version. Ceramic is said to be four times tougher than steel. It will come in several strap versions. Apple hoped it will be specially be popular with runners. At the event, Apple announced a Nike version of the Apple Watch Series 2 that comes with special perforated strap and few extra features.
