Much talked about photo filter app, Prisma, has been made available in Android Playstore. It was earlier available only on iOS.
Last week, the beta version of the App was made available for Android but was available to select few through registration on Prisma’s website.
Prisma is an interesting photo editing app, which can turn any photo into an artwork instantly. Most of the images edited by Prisma look like vintage paintings of the Picaso arena-all thanks to its built-in filters.
It has a clutter-free interface similar to that of Instagram. You can simply apply its artistic filters, which replicate the works of famous artists: Munk, Picasso as well as world famous ornaments and patterns, in few simple clicks. To edit any image on this app requires just three steps: take a pic, apply a filter, save and then share with the world. One must note when you apply a filter, the app applies a unique combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence to convert your pic into a timeless art.
The company has also announced Prisma video, which would let you apply such artistic effects to videos too.
Alternatives
Prisma certainly is different from most of the photo editing apps out there, but you can certainly get some similar (and at times, better) results with Pikazo. It also offers artistic filters like Prisma and is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
VSCO is another photo editing app that could be an alternative to the Prisma. It offers more choices when it comes to photo editing and has been iPhone and Android phone users’ favourite for quite some time now.
