Micromax’s subsidiary, Yu has announced the Android Marshmallo update for its Yu Yureka Plus, Yuphoria and Yu Yunique smartphones. However, today only the beta version will be available while the stable version will be released in the next 30 days.
“By today evening users will be able to download the Marshmallow (M) beta build for Yureka (Plus), Yuphoria and Yunique and the stable build will be out in next 30 days,” Rahul Sharma, the founder of Yu, wrote on the company’s forum.
Currently, Yu Yureka Plus is selling for about Rs 10,500, while Yuphoria is available Rs 7,999 and Yunique is being sold at Rs 6,365. You can check the specifications of these three devices and other Yu smartphones here. All these devices are currently have the Android Lollipop operating system based Cyanogen OS.
Some days back, Yu had ended up its partnership with Cyanogen for sole right in India and at that time, the company announced that they would now be going with the Stock Android version. However, as TMI had pointed out earlier, the company is putting a lot of effort on its own customized UI called “Around Yu” and thus we expect the updates for the three Yu devices to have the service as well.
