Android camera app with live filter, editing feature launched

The free app comes with 16 filters and has the ability to adjust saturation, contrast and white balance.

Magix AG, one of the provider of software, online services, and digital content, has released an camera app. The app, Camera MX, is one of the few camera apps in the Android Market to offer real-time filters, and quickly editing captured photos and publishing them over multiple communication channels.

Magix Camera MX is now available for free on the Android Market from version 2.2. Magix MX includes 16 always-ready filters that allow for creative decisions as quick as the mobile user. This list includes popular effects like Lomo, Sepia, Pop Art, Negative, Orton, and Kaleidoscope.

It also allows users to calibrate their images more precisely by adjusting saturation, contrast and white balance – to name a few. The finished photos can also be assembled into more personalised formats. In the provided media manager, they can be viewed as slideshows customised with optional 3D transitions, the Ken Burns effect, and a choice between six optional soundtracks.

If you like the end results, you can post them to Facebook and Twitter with just a click of a button. Additionally, you can upload them to the Magix’s online album, where the pictures can be presented to the whole world from your personal domain.

Right now the is free but we have our doubts that it will remain free for long, so better grab it now, try out if it works for you, keep it, else just delete.
