Good News Samsung users, the South Korean giant has today rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat Beta for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 EDGE via its ‘Galaxy Beta Program’. Currently this program is only available in US, UK and South Korea and Samsung is expected to roll out it in China soon. The company first introduced this program last year with the launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, there has been no information if this program will head in to India ever before the official release.
In order to subscribe for this program one has to sign up via Galaxy Beta Program App or Samsung members app available on Galaxy App store and Google Play Store respectively. According to reports, as of now this program is based on first come first serve so we would recommend you to sign up for this program if you are interested in tasting Nougat for your S7 and S7 Edge before it goes official. However, we would warn you that beta updates are likely to come with bugs as Samsung will try to filter all the bugs before it release the update officially.
Also, this program is not available for all S7/S7 Edge devices. For example, if you happen to have a locked S7 or S7 Edge then you are out of luck. Further, Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition and Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition are also not eligible for this Beta Program.
Yesterday, a sneak peek of what Nougat will look like was released on Samsung Members Community. So, If you are an S7 or S7 Egde user residing in the above mentioned countries, do let us know about the first beta build in the comment section below.
