Motorola India has announced to roll out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E devices – all of these are available in India. This update will be rolled out this week itself. The owners of Motorola devices can expect to receive the update over the air.
The new Android 4.4.4 KitKat update basically bring security patches for the widely known Heartbleed vulnerability that affects several servers and devices. Heartbleed is a name given to a vulnerability discovered in OpenSSL library code which can be exploited to steal data.
Motorola Moto X, Moto G and Moto E smartphone owners will get Android 4.4.4 KitKat update over the air and will not be a big update. Users are recommended to download the update over WiFi and 3G networks to ensure proper download and installation of the same.
