US based gadget manufacturer, InFocus has entered India with its smartphone, InFocus M2, which now is a direct competitor of Xiaomi’s Redmi 1S. The InFocus M2, launched at Rs 4,999, has everything that would give the popular Redmi 1S a headache.
The dual SIM (micro SIMs) InFocus M2 has 1 GB RAM, Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, and a 1.3 GHz Mediatek quad core processor. Its 4.2 inch display has high definition resolution. What’s noteworthy is that the M2 offers an 8 megapixel front as well as rear camera. For both the cameras there are LED flash lights.
The M2 has 8 GB of internal storage and it has a micro SD card slot as well with capacity of 64 GB. The InFocus M2 measures 135mm x 64.5mm x 11.1mm and weighs 145 grams. It has a 2010 mAh Li-Ion battery that claims to offer 280 hours of standby. Besides, it has the regular WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and USB connectivity.
On the other hand, the Redmi 1S has a 4.7 inch HD display (thus offering 312 ppi Pixel density against 355 ppi of M2), a 1.6 megapixel front camera without any flash light, Android 4.3 operating system, and a marginally smaller 2000 mAh battery. The Redmi 1S’s processor has higher clock speed, 1.6 GHz.
