Amazon is ready to launch its first smartphone on June 18 at Seattle, USA. The company has shared the invite for the launch event on its Twitter account where the founder Jeff Bezos is expected to show off the new 3D interface bearing smartphone. Quite obviously, Amazon will integrated all its existing Amazon Prime services on the new smartphone.
This Amazon smartphone will feature 3D interface and just like Nokia X Software Platform, it will have a modified version of Android operating system. As per reports, the Amazon smartphone will offer a 4.7-inch touchscreen display with 720p (HD) resolution. This smartphone will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon family mobile chipset. Banking on the powerful hardware support, Amazon has tried to build a 3D like user interface for the first Amazon smartphone. Allow us to remind you about the LG Optimus 3D and HTC Evo 3D smartphones that offered something on similar lines. So far, there is no clarity on whether the interface will be glasses-free 3D.
So far, there are no details available on the possible name of the Amazon’s first smartphone. Amazon will certainly integrated the Amazon App Store along with Amazon Prime service that will offer Music Streaming and Movies on Demand. Of course there would be Amazon Kindle app and host of Kindle service specific features.
Meanwhile, Amazon has put up a promotional video that shows people enjoying a device that responds to their gestures as well as movements.
