Amazon Prime service now available in India; Prime Video coming soon

Amazon today announced the launch of Amazon Prime services in India. With the Amazon Prime, you can have exclusive facilities not available for ordinary users. Amazon is currently offering 60 days free trial of Amazon Prime service for free. After 60 days, you can choose to sign-up for Prime at a special introductory price of Rs 499 a year and after that you might have to shell out Rs 999 per year.

However, the fee won’t pinch you considering the benefits the Amazon Prime service offers. As per Amazon, Prime members will have unlimited free one day and two day delivery facility. As of now for such quick delivery, one has to shell out as much as Rs 100.

“As a Prime member, get unlimited free One-Day and Two-Day Delivery to over a hundred cities in India. Choose from eligible items in the country’s largest online store, no minimum order size needed,” Amazon said in its website.

Prime members also enjoy discounted same-day, morning and scheduled delivery to pin-codes in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and more cities across India.

Besides, Amazon Prime subscribers will have early access to lightning deals and others.

On its website, Amazon said, “As a Prime member, you get early access to top Lightning Deals every day, 30 minutes before other customers. Choose the Prime Early Access filter when you search deals, and be the first to view the best deals every day.”

Amazon is also preparing to launch Prime Video service in India. Under the Prime Video service, you can get exclusive access to Amazon Original Series and movies, as well as premium movies and TV shows from Indian and global content providers.
