Amazon is preparing itself for massive infusion of 7 inch Android tablet in the market by the end of September, according to a report.
The report said that Amazon’s manufacturing partner in Taiwan, Quanta, expects to sell one million tablets every month to Amazon in the third quarter of this year.
The Amazon tablet is likely to be innovative due to the pointers already out there in the market — Amazon Cloud driver is already there in place, and so is the Amazon App Store.
Amazon will also be attempting to reduce the cost of the tablet by removing the camera and bigger hard drives from the device, which means the company will go all out promoting content consumption only.
The company is also likely to sell its tablets at low profit margins, with its clear emphasis on selling digital content through its online retail stores.
Amazon has recently set up Indian operations, so it is hoped the Indian users will also figure in the Amazon scheme of things.
