Amazon today introduced the white colour variant of its Kindle e-reader at Rs 5,999. It has all of the features that of its predecessor including glare-free touchscreen, weeks-long battery life, enough storage to hold thousands of books, adjustable text size, Goodreads, X-Ray, Whispersync, and easy access to a vast selection of books.
“Kindle is small, light, and portable-toss it in a bag or put it in a pocket to always have your reading with you. The white Kindle is great for anyone who’s new to e-reading,” said Amazon in a press release.
There is a black colour variant of the Kindle e-reader as well which too costs Rs 5,999. Besides, Amazon offers Kindle Paperwhite 3G (both new and old gen) at Rs 10,999 and Kindle Voyage at Rs 16,499.
The most affordable Kindle e-reader has a 6 inch display. It measures 169 x 119 x 10.2 mm and weighs 191 grams. The e-reader has 4 GB of internal storage and comes with free Cloud Storage to store Amazon offered content. Besides, it has WiFi and a Micro USB 2.0 port.
