Amazon has unveiled the first 4K Fire TV Edition smart TV with Dolby Vision HDR inbuilt. Like its predecessors, the 4K Fire TV Edition smart TV also offers Amazon’s Fire TV interface without needing an external box or stick as well as providing integration of live TV channels through cable or DTH. The new 4K Amazon Fire TV Edition Smart TVs are available for a starting price of $329 (approx. Rs 22,900).
The latest line of 4K Fire TV Edition smart TV is available in three models with screen sizes of 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch. The TVs are manufactured by Toshiba and come with an Alexa-enabled remote control that has dedicated buttons to switch to over-the-air television and open streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, HBO and PlayStation Vue.
Dolby Vision on the Fire TV smart TV will offer more control on the colour and contrast of the TV where adjustments are made one scene after the other. The TV is powered by a quad-core CPU and Multi-core GPU.
The new Fire TV Edition comes with an RF Antenna port, three HDMI ports, USB port, Ethernet, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an analogue audio port and Dual-Band WiFi for connectivity. The included Voice Remote with Alexa can be used to control TV functions like power, volume, navigation, playback, and input switching. Users will also be able to control their smart home devices with Alexa.
The new 4K Amazon Fire TV Edition Smart TVs will be available in 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch screen sizes for prices of $329 (approx. Rs 22,900), $379 (approx. Rs 26,400) and $449 (approx. Rs 31,300) respectively.
