The first alleged photo of the Samsung Galaxy S8 spills the beans about the upcoming features which include no Home button, bezel-less display and a new design language. The leaked image comes from Chinese blogging site Weibo. The image shows no home button, which further strengthens the rumours that the smartphone might ditch a physical home button in favour of an optical sensor, which will sit underneath the display. However, the leaked image is hard to authenticate as many believe that it might be a photoshopped version of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

Sammobile notes that there are no on-screen buttons in the photo, suggesting that it’s either being removed or the entire photo has been edited to create a fake render. So, therefore, we suggest you take this render with a grain of salt.

In another news, the company is expected to launch the flagship device in April if a recent leak is to be believed. As spotted by Sammobile, if the latest report coming from South Korea claims that Samsung might unveil the device on April 18. This is in line with another rumour that describes that the company has set an initial production target of 10 million units for the upcoming device, which will start in March.

Other rumours suggest that the company might add a new virtual assistant known as Bixby in most of its native applications which come pre-installed on the device. Bixby (for male) and Kestra (for female) is rumoured to be Samsung’s own AI-enabled digital voice assistant which will compete for neck to neck with Google Assistant and Siri. The company is also rumoured to bring a Plus variant with a 6-inch display which will come with an external S Pen stylus.

As for the specs, it is reported that the smartphone will come with a whopping 8GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, optical fingerprint sensor embedded in the display, a 90 percent body-to-screen ratio, 5.0 and a UFS 2.1 flash storage chip. Other than this, it is also reported that Samsung might ditch the traditional for a new USB port instead.
