OnePlus is working on its upcoming flagship smartphones – OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Now a prototype of OnePlus 8 Pro has surfaced online.
As per the images of the alleged OnePlus 8 Pro courtesy Weibo, the phone features a dual punch-hole display to house two selfie cameras as opposed to single punch hole set-up seen on previous renders. An image also hints at a curved-edge display of the OnePlus 8 Pro which is similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro.
The rear panel shows off the quad-camera setup with LED flash. It has a vertically aligned camera setup with multiple camera sensors in the center. If this turns out to be true, OnePlus 8 Pro will be the company’s first phone with a quad-camera setup. The camera setup is followed by the usual OnePlus logo and “OnePlus 5G” text branding at the bottom. So, the device could come in a 5G variant as well.
The images also suggested a new OxygenOS version on the OnePlus 8 Pro. The device is placed inside a protective case and has a USB-C port, an external speaker and a round-shaped cutout that looks like a 3.5mm audio jack.
OnePlus 8 Pro is said to feature a super smooth display with 120Hz refresh rate. It will be an improvement from 90Hz refresh rate we saw on the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T series of smartphones.
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are likely to launch in the second quarter of next year. As of now, no hardware details about the upcoming OnePlus flagship smartphones are known. We expect to get more details about these devices through leaks in the coming days.
