Alcatel has announced Alcatel Idol 4 and Pop 7 LTE tablet in Canada for $299.99 (which is about Rs 19,971) and $149.99 (which is about Rs 9,982) respectively. The Alcatel Idol 4 and POP 7 LTE will be available beginning September 30. Both the Alcatel devices will be available in Canada through Bell and Virgin Mobile carriers.
Alcatel Idol 4 features a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with 424ppi as pixel density and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor (1.2GHz quad-core + 1.5GHz quad core) which runs the phone along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is packed with a 2600 mAh battery Quick Charge 3.0 for rapid charging. The phone features dual 3.6-watt speakers which include Waves Audio technology.
The Idol 4 comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded to upto 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G/LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth, and GPS/A-GPS.
The Alcatel POP 7 LTE tablet features a 7-inch LCD (1024 x 600 pixel) display and is powered by a Snapdragon 1.1GHz quad-core processor which is coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of Internal Memory that can expanded to upto 32GB via a microSD card. The POP 7 LTE has a 5-megapixel camera in its rear panel. There is a 2-megapixel camera in its front for selfies. The tablet runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box backed up by 3,240 mAh battery which claims to offer up to 1000 hours of standby.
